On a final note, junior baseball player Abe Simpson would have played in the Maine Underclassman All-Star Game (at the University of Southern Maine on June 24 at 1 pm) had he not been injured prior to the postseason. Simpson went 6-1 on the mound with a 1.78 ERA while batting .388 with four doubles, a triple, and 15 stolen bases.
